Missed out, chassis number 300949.1965 SWB

Just to prove that being on the spot isn't always enough, I have been negotiating to buy chassis 300949, engine number 901079, which is close to me here in Adelaide, South Australia. However it looks like it will be heading to the USA, as a buyer over there has enough money to make it obvious he won't be outbid.
Congratulations to him on his purchase, I do not know if he is a member here.

Apparently that car is making a lot of ocean miles?

In 2008 it was in France according to this thread

Has been in Australia a very long time , I believe the Frenchman was mistaken. You will note in the thread that you referenced Alex Webster knew where it was.

What can you tell us about the car other than the engine #? Paint code, interior colour, RHD or left? It must be special to haul across the ocean.

    Stew,

If you want to make it 4, I'll take your worn out old bus off your hands. I'd be doing you a favour.

Dave, it is certainly not special, other than being early, it was converted to RHD, I have not been able to get those other details, the seller is quite difficult to deal with.

So it was built as a LHD and converted to RHD? Do you know when & where?
A bit odd shipping a RHD to the USA, however I did seen a RHD Mini drive through town yesterday.
