    Help Identifying strut assemblies

    Hi Folks,
I received the pictured strut assemblies in a stash of 911 parts I acquired recently. They don't look like the ones on my cars so Im wondering if indeed they are 911 parts? Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you
    Dan

They are 911 parts - SWB front struts - probably Boge, with Boge inserts. Have a wire brush just on the main tube around the area of that bracket with a hole in it and you should find the part number and some id.

    1964 thru 1968 Boge Strut

Those are Porsche front struts for years prior to the change in 1969. The stamped BOGE info will be on the strut cover.

The gland nut holding the shock into the strut is a m1.5 thread pitch. Replacement shocks are Boge, but there is a replacement Koni shock that will also fit.

(The other strut used for these cars is the Koni. The differences being the gland nut is a m1.0 thread. It is a different shape, it's necked down at the base where it fits the axle casting).
