your roving uk correspondent reporting in

just about to head off to revival this morning from London.

John Glynn very kindly took me on a tour of auto farm (2 real st) , 3.2 club sport and a peppermint 964 RS. delectable! also got to have a long chat with the owner of the 2.4s discovered in Northern Ireland last year( remember the shot on cover or 911 world)

then it was off to tut hills which was chockablock block with rally cars including the Belgian 911sc group 4 with 330+ hp and dog box. also a lovely 65 swb being built up for the masters.

setting off for train station now... hope the bridge drive was good for you all and look forward to seeing pics.

    wow what a meeting.

no pics at the moment, I'll wait till I get home and sort them out.

I really needed another day or two there, but that's how things worked out this trip.

I was lucky to go in 2002 before the event was really popular, and while it was still great, the crowds put a slight dampener on it for me. we had a catered box right on the chicane, with access to a big screen of the action, within about 30 metres.

racing was great, wonderful cars, fantastic noises, lots of suspension movement, oversteer aplenty, and some great cars being used as their makers intended for them. we had torrential rain about half way through the tt, ( 250 gto x 3,lm 250, lightweight e type, project Astons - which won- and a lister jaguar being co driven by Chris Harris the freelance journo).

signing off for the moment, tapas and sangria await, as I'm now in Spain, and I've not seen one Porsche yet!

    Frankmar,

    Sadly not near you.

just to wet the appetite. the big slide in this happened right in front of me! Chris Harris ( well known on this board and the owner of some lovely 911's down through the years) caught it very well.

will upload some pictures later, once I'm over the unpacking and jet lag.

Very jealous! My parents have retired to Singleton, the village next to Goodwood. It's a great spot, even before you start car spotting.
