Thread: 'Debut' of my new 1965 911 RHD

'Debut' of my new 1965 911 RHD

Porsche had a 911 50 year anniversary event in Sydney yesterday with 100+ 911's crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge in convoy under Police escort.

This seemed like the perfect timing for a first run in my new 1965 build (66MY) 911. The car is Aga blue with tan trim and matching numbers. The Kardex lists only tinted windows (which it still has) and Pepita inserts (which it just got - thanks Soterik).

I purchased the car (long distance, no ppi, sight unseen and a story in itself...) a few months back and basically finished sorting it on Saturday morning. A big thanks go to the following:

Carlos @ Cavaco Motors for the mechanical fettling
John and George @ Zag Automotive for sorting some paint/body issues
John @ Prostitch for restoring the seats and righting some other interior wrongs

Thanks also to several members of this board who sold me missing bits and pieces.

Matt Hart snapped these fantastics pics on Sunday - hope you like it.

Ps. I have the hubcaps - just can't bring myself to fit them.
