FS: Original 73S Plush Black with Gray Flecked Carpet/ Mats Front and Rear

I have a matching set of front and rear carpet/mats from my 73. I would give them an honest 8 out of 10 even the pics don't nearly do them justice. (8 does not mean 7) There are no tears, wear areas, stains or other issues other than the carpet fibers being compressed while they were in storage - they show up as the lighter areas the pics. The only real negative is four small holes in the rear mats (and go under the seats) which are nearly invisible and you would have to search to find them. The fronts are pretty darned nice. The set is yours for $300 plus shipping.

Rick, if these are available I will take them. Let me know how to get you the funds. Thanks.

Saw these too late Brian. Original material in good condition, virtually unobtanium, good score.

I run my RS with pieces of shaped carpet on long trips to keep the originals, well original. These pieces are perfect for the job. Nice one.

Funny you should say that Mike, that is actually what I have in mind for 451.

The original mats in the car are super nice so these will let me put them up and still be very presentable with these in there place. Hopefully I was first in line for them. Fingers crossed.

Just seeking information - it was my understanding the 73 'S' (and perhaps earlier 'S' models as well) came with 'velour' carpeting rather than perlon...

If possible, can you please identify your source re the 'S' being perlon...everything I have read and searched says 'velour' for the 'S'....not nit-picking, but since I'm in the process of restoring my 'S' I want to be 100% certain.
