Air Hoses and Filter with/near Gas Tank

On my 73.5 911, there is a tank that is strapped down next to the left side battery (left from the driver's seat). The black hoses to it have begun cracking. I cut off the end and reattached. I was able to move the cannister forward. But it looks like they've cracked again and I need to finally replace them. I seem to recall however that reaching the other end of the hose was basically impossible with the tank in.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about, and is there any way to replace them without removing the tank?

I could not find a picture of the cannister on the PET to provide.

Ok, solved my own problem. It turns out that while the hose does go along side of the gas tank, it goes into the passenger compartment behind the foot board. So it can be replaced without removing the tank. Gotta order the hose though. I'm also not sure how hard it will be to get the hose through the grommet. We'll see once I have the new one to squeeze through.
