    Seat belt options

I have installed sport seats from Vintage Seats on my 69 coupe. What are my options now for seat belts? I just want to go with a 3 point belt that would mount to the existing pillar mount location but what about the front for the receiver and latch? Has anyone out there who have these seats added have photos and/or ideas? The sliders are Recaro tilt sliders. Thanks

Anyone? I've searched and can't locate a thread. I can't drive without belts!

Bob, do you have a threaded seatbelt mount on the inner sill/ rocker ? If you have no provision to put the receiver on the seat, you can weld a point on the centre tunnel
Then use an extended webbing to create the receiver. A bit like the Rear seat lapbelts.

    Bob,

Can you post a photo of how you mounted them?

I've fitted Deser seats which are similar, but I fitted tilt-able frames which have the seat belt mounts fitted to the frame, rather then the seats themselves as per origional.

I stand to be corrected. They are not tilt bases.
They came with a steel plate that mounts to the existing chassis slider mounts because the new seat and sliders are narrower. I'll post pictures.

I have a pair of "vintage seats" buckets mounted on sliders. The seats nor the sliders have provision for mounting the seat belt receivers. So, a whole was drilled through the tunnel behind the front seats, and threaded. The receivers are attached to a steel bracket, and the bracket is bolted to the tunnel.
    Cheers!

Frank, do you have a photo? That makes sounds like it won't be too difficult but I'm confused with what to do on the other side near the door. What seat belts did you use? The original belts. It looks like the door side seat belt piece on my stock seats aren't removable.

Your stock seat belt receivers will thread into the two little holes on the tunnel of the bracket - you can see these holes in your photo.
Just remove the sliders from your stock seats, then remove the receivers, re-install the sliders and install the receivers on your Vintage Seat bracket.
