    69E Tunnel Layout and Components

    Hi Guys

Could i get some help with my tunnel layout.

    1) I think I have the items correctly identified per the attached photo, but would like some verification. I belive i solved #6 (accelerator cable) and #9 (speedo drive).

    2) I ordered what I thought was the grommet fo rthe wire harness and starter cable 999 702 051 50 but what I received clearly isn't going to work. Can someone help me identify what the part number I need for these going through the rear tunnel wall? I have one, but need another.

    3) Inside the RHS of the tunnel there is a conduit or inner tube. Is that for the main harness? Is there anything else that goes through there also? There is a wire for the emergency brake lever position, does that fish out a hole somewhere or does it split from the harness prior to entering the conduit?

Appreciate your help for a new owner.

    Thanks
    Darren

While I can't promise it's original, in my 1970T #6 is the throttle, #8 is the speedo cable, and #9 is the main harness. The others match what you have.

Agree with Mike. 9 is main harness and 8 is speedo.

What you show is the large grommet for the starter cable. Don't think the main harness has a grommet, just a sleeve around the harness and a tight fit.

Brake wire splits inside the centre console and then routes on top of the console to the handbrake out of the access hole for the shift coupling. There is a little curved depression in one corner

Only the harness goes in the inner duct

Steel tubes through the tunnel with stubs at each end for the flex hoses to attach to.

Ok. Engine out. See the 2 holes for charcoal canister lines which had plugs but when removed the plugs I don't see the steel lines. Have to dig deeper. How far into the tunnel are they? Appreciate advice. Thx

To go a little further into this thread, it would be nice to see some photos of all the correct original rubber boots & grommets that go to each of the outlet with a source to obtain them if some are not readily available.

    Thanks
