FS: Original Signal Orange Paint Badge

I took this off of a 1970 911. The car was very rusty, so I actually cut the door sill out and ground away the back of the rivets so that I didnt tear it up removing. It looks better in person than it does in flash photo. Perfect for the car missing the paint badge.

    $40.00 plus shipping.

Interesting, my 70S has a stick on paint code and is an early serial #. What # did it come off?

It appears the stick-on decal version of the paint code tag was introduced in the beginning of the 1970 MY (Porsche bodied cars only) but replaced with the riveted tag at some point mid year. Member davep has done quite a bit of research on this. See Post 10 in this link:

Wow, that is a very odd badge. Yes it is likely a late 1970 Porsche built Targa badge. But I have never seen the paint manufacturer code (L for Lesonal) doubled like that before.

My 1/70 Build 70S has four little dimples in the panel where a plate would have had holes drilled for the rivets. My car was painted black over the original silver and I assume that the stick on decal was removed prior to the repaint.
