    Pass. side fedner/ body vent

can someone tell me the purpose of the louvered vent in the body of the car on the Pass. side? Mine was covered up with a panel. From the looks of the panel, it was done by the dealer when the car was new, my guess is covering the vent had something to do with the a/c system that was installed in the car at the dealership, but I always wondered what those vents were for....fumes from the Webasto heater?

    Thx...DM

Heat vent for Webasto, the louvers connect to the smugglers box.

As above. Originally the factory placed a 'mask' over this area before the undercoat was applied, so as not to block them up.
