    From the ad copy:

    California Car

Body: complete rust free with original undercoat (see photos), excellent paint, silver metallic, original Alu rims
Interior: new seats, new carpets. tinted windows.
Mechanic: vin# 911 3111485, matching engine # 6134127, excellent running/driving, shifts fine, good brakes and clutch, new tires.
Resume: very clean and good running 911 injection 911 Targa,

Price seems too low to be true.

Well, the opening bid seems reasonable to me actually. After all, it's only the opening bid, who knows what the car will sell for.
As for the seller, they certainly don't have an established eBay reputation. I'd recommend trying to make contact with them over the phone to guage them if possible. I'd also recommend having someone local to the car take a look at it for you, or even fly out there yourself. After all, it's a $40K+ investment your contemplating.

    Good luck!
BTW, I dig your avatar. Nice TT face of pain.

I am pretty sure the seller sold under a different name on eBay, as the cars look familiar, as well as the price. I live in S. Florida, but have never run across them. If you need any help from down here, let me know.

He also appears to be selling a nice signal orange targa, but under a different name? VIN is 91111113160 which didn't show up here.
