    New VDM (repro) wood wheels

    No affiliation here...just got an email from SMC and up front and center was this...

    I have no skin in this game. I am just wondering what this is going to do to the price of the used wheels as these repros seem to be pretty fairly priced given most of the early original wheels need some level of refinishing. I have a nice early VDM wheel and have been enjoying watching the prices rise. Is that now over?

    I don't think so. Maybe. I looked at these also. The wood looks fair, the leather wheels have a pebble grain which does not look close to original. They look like Classico wheels. I got what was alleged to be a flat Nardi from them. The black inlay was not! They painted a black stripe. Total garbage.
