Thread: Car transport from CA to TX - Help please

    Question Car transport from CA to TX - Help please

    I need a car transported from Bishop CA to Laredo TX.

    Any recommendations?

    I have gotten quote form the "premium" carriers like Reliable and Intercity and I'm not happy with them.

    The ideal would be an owner/operator with a covered trailer, but other recommendations will be welcome.

    I'm not in a hurry but also wouldn't want to wait 2 months..........

    Thanks
    Henry

    Why don't you drive it yourself? I just drove my 67S from Kansas City to Los Angeles!

    I have thought of it actually. It is probably a 2 day drive @ 12 hours per day (if everything goes well).

    But this is a new (to me) car from 1971, a Lancia; and even if it's supposedly in great shape I am a little worried about a 1,600 mile trip in a car I don't know. If it were my 68 911 I would have no issues.

    And between the flight over there (probably with my son to help with the driving and the boring) hotels (at least 2 nights), gas, food, etc. it will probably end up being more expensive, but 100 times more fun.........

    I used McNutt Transport a while back to ship a truck. Super nice and polite, a real pleasure to deal with. Truck driver was equally nice. Delivered a day earlier then promised.

    911 = no problem.

    Lancia/Alfa/Lotus/Jaguar/Triumph = problem.

    As I said in post #3, I would have no problem jumping into my 911 or 356 and driving 2000 miles, but in a Lancia.....
