    Niello Concours, October 6, 2013

I went up to the little 10th annual Niello Concours east of Sacramento, in El Dorado Hills. Neillo Porsche had a nice 50 Years 911 display featuring Mark Smedley's R Gruppe GT Award-winner, Tom O'Callaghan brought some really fine early 911 race cars, and Bruce Canepa served as Grand Marshall -- gracing the event with the 917K, RS Spyder, 3.0 RSR, 934.5, 935, Pike's Peak Turbo, 962-engined '89 Speedster, and a paint-to-sample 959 (that he drove to the show from Santa Cruz). Not normally into lawn shows, but I was up to help a friend set up some cars. Thanks to Nancy from Niello Porsche for a great lunch...

A few more -- I really wasn't thinking of taking pictures, but it looks like nobody else did! O'Callaghan's Kremer street-car is beyond cool!

    Niello

    Wow --- that looked like a fun little show . . . . sorry I missed it . . . although, SAC'a not exactly close-by. Looks like some very interesting cars turned-up

And 10th annual, you say? --- I've never heard of it. But I do recognize that dealer's name . . .

Niello's been around since at least '68! Here are some of their old license frames . . .

And thank you for the pictures, Nine

Yes, except I believe that Mr. Smedley's "sleeper" engine displaces 2.7 liters!
