I just put an Anti-Gravity L-i battery in my VW Golf TDI - 32# weight reduction. Expensive!

No leakage or other problems during 15 years, 11 months of service. No trickle charger or battery tender ever used. The only modification employed to give this long life is a battery cut-off switch that totally isolates the battery when the car is not in daily use.
Would love to see a pic of your batter cut off switch.

Nothing more than the simple Hella disconnect switch with a removable red handle. It's located in the smuggler's box and wired to isolate the negative battery terminal from the body ground.

FYI ; The latest batteries from Sonnenschein are now black instead of grey ; even better !

Same batteries, I just changed the sticker on the right one (got it from a member in the classified section)

Perfect fit, perfect look and dry batteries !

I got them at 171$ CDN each plus shipping ( about 130 USD, that's a great deal !!)
Call Matt, tell him JD from Montreal refer you.

Can find it, but it’s a member in the registry here who reproduced them a while back...

That's a great price JD. Shipping should be cheap as they are just up the road from me. I just bought 2 Odyssey 925 batteries which I was going to make fake cases for :-( Probably can resell them though.

As for stickers, this place sells a lot of relevant ones. I got the Varta ones. https://www.isaydingdong.co.uk/ourshop/
Robert Gross makes the DETA ones, but good luck getting ahold of him.

That's a great price. The DETA, Bosch, Varta round stickers look great but the battery strap covers most of them, which is a bit of a shame. I think the Porsche Moll sticker looks great.

Inspired by Ed and with JD's observation that Sonnenscheins are now black.

The right Deta stickers are also now available at https://www.isaydingdong.co.uk/oursh...Volt-90mm.html

I just liked the 3D profile of the Varta label.
