    Original Color

What is the best place to look on a car to try and determine original color?

I have no evidence that my car was any other color than red (with black interior) by looking it over....

But, I just got a copy of the Kardex which shows the car as Aga Blue with beige interior.

    Seth,

There should be a metal tag riveted in the door jam near the hinges. On this tag is a paint code. Write it down and look it up here: http://www.elferhelfer.com/farben.htm

The good news is that aga blue with a beige interior is a great color combination and far less common than red over black.

    Good Luck.

Yes, the tag would be obvious - but it's been painted over, and I've not wanted to destroy it trying to take the paint off....

I'll check under the rear shelf and see if there is any evidence of blue. I've yet to see any traces of any other color, and it's usually obvious on a respray somewhere.....
