He had a Jaguar XK-SS and a Porsche Speedster but as far as I know only 3 911s. Chad has an orange early 911 hotrod now.

One day in the late sixties, my brother and I pulled in to a Standard gas station on Sunset Blvd, got some gas and were ready to leave but our car had a dead battery. As we waited to get a jump from the attendant, in roared this beautiful jag XK-SS with Steve McQueen at the wheel. He hopped out, pumped his own gas, paid the attendant and hopped back in his car. I can still see it in my mind as if it were yesterday, as he arched his back to push in the Jags heavy clutch, tapped the starter button in the middle of the dash, and took off north into the Hollywood hills at a high rate of speed. We just stood there and didn't say a word.

Ciao, I have in mind another 911 but can't remember where I've seen it. I also collect McQueen stuff and have many Le Mans movie related items and tons of books!
Now: tell me You find it!

I think I saw somewhere the McQueen '70S was taken apart and given a total ground up restoration? Anyone care to comment on what this did to the value of a $1.3MM car?
