Its for a 1976 car which had different interior options than early cars.
Or then one can choose whatever one wants or likes.

    Below Dealer Upholstery sampler, 1971.
    top to down:
    Black (Leather 1, Leatherette/Vinyl 2)
    Brown (Leather 3, Leatherette/Vinyl 4)
    Beige (Leather 5, Leatherette/Vinyl 6)

Btw the US code in 1971 is still written "Beige" in this book, not "tan".
Otherwise Hugh is right, on SWB there was a much lighter beige - almost white - available.
Karim, this is not at all confusing. I am seeking for a correct pepita used on light ivory early cars, in order to use it for my new seats which will be be installed on my new 911 1975.

    That's it.

    Cheers

Does the tan strip run left to right or top to bottom. Most of what I see is left to right, but one pic above posted by HughH shows the strips top to botto

    Gene Speicher’s ‘73 911E

These pictures are from an all original ‘73 911E originally owned by Gene Speicher in Sacramento. It is the best condition interior in the colors you are considering that I’ve ever seen over 30 years.

    Good luck.

Hi Bob thanks for the pics. I’m not at home on my miner computer monitor, but it looks like the Tan strip runs top to bottom.

Mark, hard for me to see it but yes the tan does seem to run top-to-bottom on those. FWIW, on the sport seats Tony Garcia did recently for me, the tan seems to run sideways.

Mark, the SPORTSEATS have a layout of the RECTANGLES of the Pepita fabric ( colour does not matter ) in a horizontal way as the original interior shows. Unfortunately you will find very often reupholstered seats where the layout is vertical.

    So Michael
That means that this is correct for a sports seat? The top of the seat is at the top of photo and you can just see each side on the edges
(I find it very hard to distinguish the detail (ie rectangle v square) unless the picture is blown up

For illustration here a correct reupholstered 68 sports seat. Vinyl correct, perforation correct, Pepita correct, pepita layout correct.

Thank you so much for clarifying this once and for all. Tan stripe runs top to bottom, got it.
