Aluminum rear lid ; is there any good repro ???

    Hi,

Since original are about 4k$, I found few options for repro, but pricing differences make may wonder if there is significant quality gap between them ? So far, I found :

-TRE in California (from Europe ?) at 1700$
-Eckert in Germany for 1020$ delivered
-Restoration-Design in Ontario, Canada (supposed to be made in Poland) for 1265$
-CarPoint in Germany (Tangerine911 on the bay) for 2175? plus shipping

Is there 1-2 or more real manufacturers ?

Does someone compared one of these vs an original one ?

    Please share your comments,

    Thanks, Regards

I bought one through Autofarm Uk, suspect it is an Eckert item. It needed modifcation to fit but a huge weight saving See here for details and photos.

They had to shave it down to get a good fit, and then weld it up. You can see how light the lid is in some of the photos.
