Year Fittings of 911 Window Cranks

    Hey all,

Came across a box of window handle cranks for 911s. I have three different cranks, I believe the first one (located at the top of the picture) is for a 1965-67 and the last one (located at the bottom of the picture) is for a 1968-75. I am unsure however what the middle crank would originally fit. Any information you can shed on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure that the middle crank is one year only 67.

Well, you never know, but for U.S. cars, that 'soft' crank was a mandatory federal safety item. I would guess that very few (if any) '68 U.S. model cars left the factory without them. Since the larger knobs were very prone to breaking, perhaps someone retro-fitted the earlier crank. (only slightly stronger). Just MHO.

You could be right in my case Brian. Mine were in boxes and not on the car when I purchased it. But I have seen other early 68 examples with these window cranks as well.
