I thought sports seats used the shorter receivers? Those look to be the longer ones.

Cornpanzer, I think you are right. I just looked at a book titled Original Porsche 911 by Peter Morgan and there is a picture of a regular seats with the above kind of receivers. I already have the shorter receivers. I'm all set then. Thanks you just save me money

So, sport seats comes with the longer receiver. Regular seats comes with either long or short receivers?

My 72 standard seats came with long receivers (with "PRESS" sticker) and I was able to use them on the sport seats without a problem. The 72 receivers are easier to come by, but are different that the -71 receivers like the ones pictured above.

My 70 standard seats came with short receivers.

I did my research a while back about receivers. From my research:

69-71 standard seats- short red trigger receivers
69-71 sport seats- long red trigger receivers
72-73 standard and sport seats- both have "press" button type receiver and are same for both standard and sport seats

Correct me if I'm wrong on anything. I'm not an expert on years before 1969, so maybe other can chime in on those receivers.

yep, you are correct. Early 72 cars also used the 3 point lap belt with the red thumb release.
Mid 72- on inertia reels with "press" stickers. pre- 69, SWB cars ? lap belts. various makes.
