    FS: 2.2 911 Engine

For sale is a 2.2 engine. Per my engine rebuilder:

The serial # is 6116903 indicating it is a '71 911T case. Originally a '71T engine would have Zenith carbs but this has the following MFI parts: T/E sized MFI heads, cams with pulley, crankcase breather, pump mounting plate, driver side sheet metal, sheetmetal over pump belt. The engine turns over freely. The oil cooler is for a '72 and later (no threads). The cylinders are 84mm 'T' (cast iron fins) but I can't tell if 2.2L or 2.4L. The fan housing and fan look good but the alternator is seized. It has Carrera chain tensioners. Both cams have some lobe damage (more than wear). There is no wiring. The top of the engine and the intake ports are very clean indicating low useage.

I am located in WA but this engine is located in OHIO where my car is currently getting restored. New price of $2000 + shipping

I really did not want to take this motor apart but it seems as though it may make more sense as parts. My best offer was $900. I think this should be worth more than that.

What crank is in it will determine a good portion of value. How can one tell if it is cw ss , non cww ss or 70.4 without splitting the case? boroscope?

I asked my mechanic to look through the sump cover to see if he could determine what crank was in the motor and he said the original screen was in the way.
