    Andy,

.... yes,the bad penny returns every so often .....

This is the reply I got from a 'fishing' thread in the 'Other Porsche passions' section.
    90k miles,never been apart,original(mostly)paint,last 20 + years in Texas and a good price !
Our friend Kent Moore(901 register and two time -6 owner) has been very helpful in this transaction and has even given it an 'Italian' tuneup on my behalf.
Its now sitting in his LA garage waiting for the paperwork to be completed at my end before it goes to the long Beach container terminal and AUS bound.
Probably I will see it about the end of January if all goes well.
I believe it has done very few miles in the last 10 years,so that in itself brings its own problems to be cured by a visit to Grant at Autohaus.
One curio the C of A states is a lsd of 80% - I thought that was usually found in race cars not for weedy little 110 hp 914s !
This car is the one I have had bubbling around the back of the cranium since the AUS press release day of 10 September 1969.
It will be a bit of an adventure in LHD until I get used to it - I have driven LHD overseas but not here.
More to come when the car arrives .

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

    Congrats

We have the same car mate! Mine sat for 13 years unstarted so feel free to begin a buddy chat for the usual things, upgrades and mods. Here's mine with the original owner sitting in what was his wedding day car long ago. You're gonna love the way it handles. Very raw, very connected to the road.

    Well done DB - congratulations.

Look forward to going over it on arrival in Sydney over a celebratory ale or two.

LHD is easier than you think - I recently drove a LHD early 911 for a mutual friend of ours, and after 10 minutes I was fine, driving the car like I would my 911L.
