    When does K&N filters come available ? 60's, 70's or 80's ?

    Hi,
    Does someone can confirm when the first K&N filters arrived for 911 application ? I'm wonderng how "period correct" the one with aluminum covers can be ?

    Subscribed so as to not miss the answer. I just put a set of these on my 66 911 and the intake sound is fantastic. Easy swap back to stock for "show".

    I'm hoping that someone will remember these being available in the 70's, so I will have to swap them for 'show'....

    Anybody have souvenir of the good ol'days ?

    I sold K&N filters in 73 along with Filtron. They were close and as I remember they bought some P parts from me also.
    Sorry, I don't remember what they looked like though. I'll look through some stuff...
