SYDNEY Guys: does anyone know current owner of RS 0495

Do any of you Sydney guys know the current owner of RS 0495 seen pictured here at Rennsport in may this year.
it seem to be in sydney again these days with full NSW reg

It used to be down in Melbourne for a while and before that was restored in Sydney quite some time ago (by David Withers??)

the reason I ask is that i have just received a book (that i have not read properly yet) that shows a lot of new photos and information on 911's rallying in Ireland

This book has the history of (I think) this car, from being bought by Ronnie McCartney as a demonstrator in London and used as the first RS in Irish rallying, thru to ownership by Cathal Curley, Joe Pat O'Kane , back to Ronnie McCartney and eventually to Australia. (there cannot be too many lilac rally RS's that came to Australia )
There are half a dozen or more photos of it (mostly color) including one of it at the circuit of Ireland in 1974 with 3 wheels and the remaining one on the front bonnet with the co driver also on front bonnet holding it to balance the car on 3 wheels ..... it still finished! I dont think that many of those photos have been published before.

If the current owner was around, and interested, I would be willing to give them copies of the photos etc if they did not already have them

Yes Hugh I do - I was actually speaking to him yesterday out at the Historics.

I'm sure they'd be interested - so i can get it to them if you like.
