Obama invasion! Argued to get to my house.

Obama is going to have a fund raising dinner in my neighborhood and I basically can't get to my house. They swept the neighborhood for bombs, already closed off. Huge inconvenience for a fundraiser. All the neighbors had problems as there was no advance notice; kids couldn't come directly home from school. You couldn't enter your own house! The neighbors were furious and arguing with the police. I wonder how much money was raised? For official purposes I could possibly understand, but for partisan fund raising events? It was a mess.

Ah... You must live in San Fran? Poor folks in Medina (Washington) had similar issues, yesterday. Sux to live in such a nice neighborhood, huh?? (Just teasing. No unpleasant jabs intended.)

    Eric -

You aren't in the wrong part of town. You have Red Mill burgers right there, and the Greenwood classic car show to walk through each year. And John Walkers to drive by...

And would it have been different for George W? …….

… I was in charge of Heathrow when George W 'passed through' a few years back. Closed down most of UK airspace and most of West London.

    ….50th anniversary of JFK an'all

Why were you surprised, I guess I'm saying.

Yes, there would've been way more 'ichin'

I remember when GB the elder came and spoke at Tibbetts Methodist church in West Seattle, near where I live. He was either Veep, or running for Pres at the time. Hardly a ripple to local traffic. Yes I know - big difference between that and POTUS.
