I guess I am confused, or just plain wrong about the whole topic.

I thought there was a transition to or from black plastics on the headliner bolt ons (visors and/or coat hooks) around the 69 model year. Maybe it was after...?

Anyone have black coat hooks in their early 911?
I have black coat hooks, sunvisor clips and a square pattern headliner all in black in my 70 E built in December of 69. It appears to be original, but I can't document it.

I don't think your headliner is original, Especially since it is a square pattern. How about your sunvisors? Are they 2 toned or have they been resprayed black? You have to look closely to tell.
Yes, there was a change to black plastic for the sunvisor mounts and clips after the 69 YM cars.
They were all beige before that. There may be cars after the 69 year model cars that had beige parts, as well.

    Regards

The sun visors are padded. When folded up against the headliner they are white/ivory in color. The back side when folded down is black. Is this correct? They don't appear to have been painted. Thanks for your input.

The reason your sunvisors are ivory on the bottom and black on the top is so they match the original ivory head liner when not in use.
