    WTB: 1965 suspension cover

Hello I need the steering rack or front suspension cover for a 1965 911. They bolt on different from later 911. I could make one if you will loan 1 out with big deposit.
    Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks George

They are the same to 67, I believe.

You might be able to expand your search, George.

65 to the first part of 66 is different. Simpler, they have no seals and 2 bolts go in from the side. Pans are pretty standard from 66 on, the first pan is the unique one. This one is easier to fabricate. More details to fill our heads

That car is one of the very few "Safari Einsatz" (internally called SE by the engineers) prototypes :-)

    No, it's the steering damper.

    Cheers,

I too have been on the hunt, but no luck yet. It does look pretty straight forward for making a copy. On another similar subject. Does anyone know where to get a new steering damper or replacement bushings for my original unit? My car has the original, but the rubber bushings are very old. One end can be seen in the OP pic. It is basically just a shaft with two rubber bushes. The other end is similar to a shock absorber bush. I have a Boge steering damper for my 356 front and the bush is very close to it for reference. Thanks

My 912 is in need of this early version metal steering rack cover. Are they available now that we are 7 years later?
