a kardex is a must to prevent further assumptions....
color chart 356C 20M or 15M, 09/64 or 11/64 are the correct charts up to the 05/65 with the 66** color codes

K/P is correct as Richard writes
    fawn/pepita

the question would be pepita 430 or 431
    or interiour code 481, 482, 483

Yes, K is the code for fawn, and /P is the code for Pepita inserts; /C is the code for Corduroy inserts
Usually, you will find in the Farbe box a body color and an interior code; say 6601 A. This would indicate Slate Grey and red. In the Polsterung box you may then see Kunstl rot or perhaps Kleder rot; in either case it means Kunst-Leder or Leatherette red. In this case the A and the rot/red coincide to mean that you have a complete red interior. On rare occasions you may see something like 6601 B & K-leder A; in this case the interpretation is Slate Grey and red Leatherette interior with black Carpets. So, the letter code in the Farbe box is indicative of the Carpet color. A code combo of 6604 B & K-leder C/P would be interpreted as Light ivory with brown Leatherette interior and Pepita seat inserts with black Carpets
The odd time you will see the /C or /P with a following numeral like /P3; in this case it would indicate the third variation of Pepita. Usually the Pepita color combination is coordinated with the seat color but by specifying the particular Pepita code you could alter the combination to your choice.
The interior codes for the 911 & 912 are quite rigid, but in some of the early days of the 356 I understand that the codes depended on the paint color choice; so code A for one paint color is not the same interior color as for another paint color.

Wow, invaluable interior information! This forum is terrific and along with the internet have really help raise the bar on restorations. Please see this thread on pepita codes for the first 120 901/911s:

So now we are looking for a source for this pepita? Sorry to post in more than one place and thanks for the help !!

I don't know about the wheels - all I have hear about them is that they were "after market copy mag wheel" from I believe the 1970's or early 1980's. They were purchased by the previous owner sometime in the early 80's. This is a 3 owner car apart from being used as a demonstrator in 1966 but some of the history of exact things like when these wheels were bought is not exactly clear.

Question for the RHD detail geeks: do we think factory RHD cars had the same dash top buttons as their LHD peers and contemporaries? I notice 300475 pictured above doesn't and neither do a number of other original RHD cars I know of. Maybe we should run this as a separate thread
