    Original 100 liter tank for 1964-1973 911 race/rally - current market value?

    Hi Folks – I’m contemplating an original 100 liter side fill tank for my ’67S. The Kardex and CoA both indicate the car came with one, but it’s long gone. I’m aware of Bert Jayasekera’s very nice reproduction, but my 1st choice is an original.

    Opinions on the current market value of an original are greatly appreciated.

    As a reference point, this link posted recently on the registry shows a ’73 RSR tank for $5500: http://retro-sport.com/products/911-...fuel-tank.html

    What’s your take on the comparison of supply vs demand for the two tanks? I.e. How do they compare in rarity vs demand?

    And, does anyone know of a 110 liter RSR reproduction tank on the market today?

    ‘67 911S Canary/Lemon yellow, sunroof coupe produced w/100L tank. Until determined otherwise, 306943S appears to be 1 of 1, and among the earliest 911’s with a 100L tank. The 911’s initial participation in a competitive event, the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally, was fitted with a 100L tank (#300055). Seeking additional info on earliest 100L tank fitments to 911’s.



    ‘70 914/6 (2.7l RS spec engine, but searching for 6404915 original)

    $3500-$5000 depending on condition and whether or not it has a sending unit.

    In original cond with no rust inside and '69 date stamped sender about $7k.
