Dec 7 drive from Emeryville to Sonoma Raceway

    Hi Guys

Following our normal Coffee and doughnut fest on Saturday, we are going to take a drive from here to Sonoma Raceway. The drive will not be a direct route to the track, though. Plans are to leave EASY at about 12:00 and drive through Solano County, Napa County and end up in Sonoma County (Sears Point). I will be leading the tour and plan on a moderate pace ("moderate" is open to interpretation) It should take about 1 1/2 hours to get to Sears.
Sonoma Raceway is hosting the final race of the season of the 24 hours of LeMons.
The EASY 908/14 will be participating and anyone interested in viewing the spectacle is welcome to pay the $30.00 to enter the track facility. This race is, actually, pretty entertaining, more so than many other races. The EASY 908/14 team will be providing food and drink for any visitors. Sonoma Raceway has a full snack bar and soft drinks, beer and wine are available for those that don't like what we have to offer. I would like to have a headcount of people that plan on making the trip to Sonoma, so we can plan accordingly. The race on Saturday is supposed to get going at 12:30 and will last until dusk (probably about 4:45 or so). Go to www.24hoursoflemons.com for further details.
Those, not choosing to pay the $30.00 blood money are welcome to take the tour in any direction from the Race Track Entrance on your own.
Remember that this will be the 2nd Official Get together of the, newly formed, Northern California Region of the Early S Registry.

    Regards

    Jim

I just was informed that a one day entrance to the track is $20.00. $30.00 covers both Saturday and Sunday.

    Ciao

The rain is supposed to stop by morning.
    Yup, rain or shine.
    9:00am at EASY for coffee
The drive at noon is only for the foolhardy!
