    FS: @EC - '67 's' . . .

    VIN = 308140S
    Eng# = 961818
    Trans# = 104804

    . . . The current owner purchased this 911S from Bob Smith Volkswagen-Porsche-Audi in July of 1985. The odometer reflected 117,050 miles and papers reflecting that transaction. Maintained from the mid-1980’s to 2008 by Aase Motors in Fullerton, California. 15 years ago the 911S was stripped and painted Signal Yellow with Glasurit paint. Driven very little over the past 10 years. In 2012-2013 the ex-head Porsche mechanic at McKenna Porsche in Norwalk totally rebuilt all of the mechanics including the following: Engine - completely disassembled and rebuilt with a new muffler, Transmission - completely rebuilt including a new clutch, Suspension - all new shocks, new brakes ect. The original wheels have been anodized and painted to original condition. All Porsche factory parts were used with receipts. In 2013 a complete new interior was installed. The undercarriage has been stripped to steel and complete detailed including the suspension to original condition. Over $30,000 was recently spent over the past 18 months. All matching numbers per Certificate of Authenticity. One of 1,823 Porsche 911S Coupes built in 1967! . . .

    Asking $159.5k

    I saw it. Passed at $110k (decent price for someone that wanted a driver - but it was merely a driver ) and would absolutely pass here. Opinion shared by the restorer I brought with me.

    Rower, from the pics(i know, i know), it looked decent at the Ebay (ruben) price. What didn't you and the restorer like about the car in the $110k-115k range?

    At the Ruben price, it worked for $110 - to be just used as is. But I wanted a really nice 67, so the car would have to come apart and be redone. Chrome., paint, etc. Pinhole rust through the floors, etc. the interior was an inexpensive kit, so the seams were off, looked ill fitting, cheapish. That would need to be corrected. For that cost, better to start with something that more clearly needed a restoration. ((At $80 k for example). Or buy one in better shape. Ruben was definitely straight forward.

    at EC's price you can get a better car.

    We didn't even test drive it.
