    1965 302021 restoration

    Hello,
my name is Frank from Germany.
I bought the car last year. The welding and painting is done. Now i am re assembling.

Can somebody help me if the Chassis ID Plate is on the correct position?

Till the car is welded and repainted to "signalrot", i had to refit the ID Plate to the correct position.
The matching Car is delivered in July 1965.
    Thanks for help, Frank

I thought on that early of a car the chassis plate was on the trunk floor next to the stamped number because the front bulkhead had ribs that precluded the plate being rivited at that point.

Hello Frank, welcome! As has been mentioned, the plate should be located above the stamped chassis number like in this photo.
