    My favorite part

By far, my favorite part of doing restorations is the small stuff. I love taking 40 year old parts and making them appear new again.. Just needed to share..

Blasting the parts opens the pores in the metal and can lead to permanent finger prints and smudges. A good soaking in Gibbs or WD40 will give an even finish and prevent the finger prints and smudges by filling those open pores back up.

Not sure I would want to use anything like WD40, it would attract dirt. Gibbs gives it a even finish and keeps it clean for longer. I use it on all alum and mag stuff after blasting.
