Help with re assembling comfort seats

I have never owned a Porsche with comfort seats before all have had sports or after market sports.

I currently have bought one that does have comfort seats (badly names for sure) which I need to disassemble to swap the seat belts.

My question is how does one get the tension back at re assembly so that the seat back tilts back and forwards as it should?

I gather it has something to do with the torsion bar at the back hopefully someone can help

    Thanks in anticipation

Clyde, the springs are built into the hinges and only need to be retensioned if the hinge assembly has been taken apart. The bar across the rear engages a splined axle that engages a pinion on each hinge to keep them synchronized as the seat reclines, so the spring tension stays equal on both hinges. I put them together with both hinges in their most upright position. Only takes a little fiddling.

Now if the hinges were taken apart there are some threads here on assembly and tensioning the big torsion spring.

Thanks for that response. Springs have not been pulled apart just the hinge taken off the RHS of a passenger seat so the side with the adjuster mechanism.

Sounds simple, I thought I did that, however there is tension on the way down but nothing on the way back...wonder what I did wrong???

I'll try again making sure I have them as upright as possible

Make sure you release the adjuster and let it spring to the full upright position before assembling to the cross rod.
