FS: @DJMConsultants.net - 1973 porsche carrera RS touring

    i-4DtzVMs-X3.jpg

    From the E-mail...

    "Serial Number 9113600439
    Engine Number 6630454
    Transmission Number 7830418
    Body Production Number 1033994

    http://djmdjm.smugmug.com/photos/swf...lbumKey=pTJ3MT

This car being offered is one of the first series cars utilized for homologation purposes. Only 500 of these first series cars were built and they are the most in demand and collectible of the total production of all RS's.

Delivered new in January 1973 to Germany in the rare, desirable and beautiful color of Tangerine Orange with black interior. Still retaining its original options of retractable seat belts left and right (419), retractable antenna left (440) and electric windows (651) it is most original and correct throughout. A bare tub restoration was performed by its owner (Alois Ruf of Germany) in circa 2002 and less than 250 miles have been driven since the fastidious restoration. As Mr. Ruf wrote me in a email "we did a full A-Z Restoration". The car has only 3 owners from new and the last owner was a Porsche Collector who showed the car at Amelia Island Concours in 2013 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Porsche 911.

Exacting in detail and finished to perfection, the car is ready for concours or spirited driving. A complete set of tools accompany the sale of vehicle.

Further interest or questions please contact me directly. Car is located in my garage in Carmel, Ca.

Any interested individuals will want to study the engine serial number stamping fonts closely (hint, hint). The paint tag is also restamped, er.....I mean, 'different'.

Isn't it generally accepted practice that prices are posted on the forum when offering up cars for sale?

If the person posting is the seller, this would be true. The person posting is doing this for infomation purposes only, therefore it's allowed.

But the ad reads, " This car being offered ...... " it would be to my understanding, that it is for sale. Price on request ! is aformation that it is for sale.

I believe it's cut and pasted out of the original ad. I see no offense here. Chuck Miller would of course pass judgement and clarify if there is a problem here.

    Hi ALL:

Yes, posting for informational purposes. I thought it was a really nice RS and the person/company offering the car is very nice, at least to me. There was more information in the original post but since I'm somewhat new I probably added something that wasn't allowed.

Recently I acquired a early 911S S/T and thought I should participate a little more rather than just reading.

    Thanks!
    Happy Holidays!

Didn't realise it was a cut and paste of an existing ad, saw the 'in my garage' and though it was yours! My apologies.
