    POC 2013 Finale Races at Willow Springs

    Very cold, but good racing. I put my favorite shots in this set (and some video clips): http://www.flickr.com/photos/max_911...7638567696455/

    Can anyone identify this 911? I would have introduced myself but we were both rushing to get out of the cold. I think it is a '69.

    Nice pics. I was there as well running my #36 996 cup car in the red group. It was very difficult to get racing slicks up to temp and thus made for some very hairy hot laps. Gridded #6 spot for the Sat. cup race, but missed the start of the race when they moved it up 15 minutes early. Said they announced the early start, but very difficult to hear the PA system by turn 1. Mike Hammond ( my first race instructor many many years ago) was also there running his early S. Thanks for posting the pics.

    I got there around lunch time on Sunday and as I was driving down the road to the track I saw Mike Hammond heading home on the trailer. I guess he had enough fun and wanted to get home and warm. Last year he raced until it was dark- with no headlights!
