I would have tried to weld up those holes in the tub at least. Though I guess if your hood weatherstripping is good it isn't such a big deal.

I think the guy was going for weight, and just does not care. He clearly could afford to do whatever he wants judging by the pad the car sleeps on.

I dont think I'd ever go that far for weight reduction. Wonder how close my car will sound to this when its back together.
