WTB: Old Porsche lock tumbler pins

The original master key to my 73.5T Targa is long gone. I have a key that opens the doors and a key for the ignition. Can't lock the glove box or frunk. I could take those locks out and bring them to a locksmith, I suppose, but isn't the point of Porsches to fiddle around and DIY? I'd like to buy a set of tumbler pins for Porsche locks so I can rekey the glove box and frunk to my door key.

PP used to sell a kit for this, but doesn't any more. My local Porsche dealership said they didn't have the parts for this and directed me to a locksmith who would not sell me the pins, but would do the rekeying himself if I brought the locks in (probably pretty typical).

Anyone have some old lock barrels with the pins still in them?

Why not just order a new master key from your local porsche center?

The two keys I do have look very dissimilar. I assume one or more of my locks was replaced at some point, so I'd have to do the rekeying anyway.

I've read, but not tried, that old VW lock cylinders use the same pins. So if you can locate some vintage 60s/70s VW cylinders, you'll have a lot of pins to play with.

I got a couple of sets from VW many years ago, I still have several new and used tumbler inserts.
Over the years I've re-keyed most of my vehicles.

There are 2 different lengths of inserts based on the tumbler diameter.
    Here are the part numbers:

    12 mm kit = 443-898-041
    13.5 mm kit = 443-898-041-A
