    Congrats Cornpanzer.....

......on a great article in the latest "Classic Porsche" magazine. Great description of Don's car and a good summation of the 911 in the late 60's Trans Am era. I saw the #66 car at Monterey this year; well optioned and beautifully restored example of the early C Production racers.

    Thanks for the contribution. John

Great articles Dave. I hope you keep contributing to Classic Porsche magazine, it is getting better with a more worldwide look on things. I was also happy to see a nice story on the Pre A meeting from the surroundings of Jönköping, Sweden earlier this year.

Is this on newsstands already? I've checked twice but can't seem to find it.

I just want to thank Dave for doing a great job on this. It is a big deal to have an article done on your car and Dave really did the car justice.

An interesting update. The original owner Jim Netterstrom contacted me asking for the chassis number to confirm this was indeed his car. He and the car (#21) were part of the famed PART Porsche of America Racing Team. Incredible!!! He still has the original window sticker to prove it. The only shame of this is that beautiful Polo Red paint job will need to be changed to white!

It's the #21 car in the middle...

    Don That is great information
so that means that car #20 was 118 1 0429 as shown on the photo for Adamowicz / Jennings / Wetanson
    car #21 was
    308107S Netterstrom / Kelly and
    car #22 was
    118 1 0482 Bailey / Locke / Downs

    is that correct??

Yes Hugh. It is confirmed by the original owner and driver, Jim Netterstrom that the Red #66 car is in fact the missing third PART car #21. This was confirmed by the chassis number and original window sticker. Mystery solved. It IS the car. Raj they were not 911Ss. All three of these cars were Rally Kit 911s. One #21 was a 67 (badged as plain 911) the other two were 68s (bagdged as 911L). John I wished I had painted it in the PART livery. I think it was a more important period for the car.
