    Porsche dosen't recognize vin on 911T

    Hello, Can anyone help with this problem? 1972 911T, all vin #'s on car match-but the car # 2981 is out side the vin run (last #2931). Have had the car for 12+years-some history back to 1990. The car has not been hacked or chopped-mostly original paint-engine # is correct for 911T. Has anyone heard of this situation or have any ideas? Thanks, Warren
