This is a Colorado ‘garage find’ which has been in storage since1982. Overall condition is very good but it is probably not worth restoring, however it is very complete with many usable or saleable parts. The title is available for inspection.
Body panels are in very good to excellent condition with only minor surface rust. Only the center of hood shows evidence of minor collision damage, gaps and panel fit are very good. The doors and engine lid are very solid with no rust holes. The floor pan and rockers will need serious rust repairs, however the front suspension pan is very good and other critical points are mostly solid. The rear bumper is very good, front is a steel 911S which was cut in the center and an oil cooler installed. The front fenders are 1969 and later style with only minor surface rust in the head light buckets and turn signal housings.
The 912 engine case is unnumbered and was rebuilt about 17,000 miles prior to the storage and has not been run since that time, the five speed transmission was not been rebuilt, original disc brakes and suspension components are present, as well as a complete Webasto gas heater, complete interior, in very poor condition, all three gauges, with later model early 911 steering wheel and batwing, gas tank, five 5 ½ chrome wheels dated 1965, all glass is usable except a cracked windshield, complete door frames and quarter glass frames are very usable. Dash has all switches, including ignition switch with very early brass bezel.

This is an ideal donor car for an early 911 restoration project.

$8,000 OBO The gas heater, engine and transmission are worth over $6,000.

For my database, can you tell me the original paint code on the badge, and also the Karmann body # that should be found on the tunnel under the cover plate in the rear; top of tunnel, left side, may be under carpet/glue, # very similar to the VIN.
