Need advice on ordering proper replacement shocks

I have a '70 911T that according to the COA came from the factory with Koni shocks. Here is a present day photo:

I wish to replace these shocks and want to make sure I order the correct shock replacement, as there are several types. Is this the correct replacement for my current set-up?

Also, are there other shock related components I should replace while replacing the front shocks? TIA

    Brent,

These are probably the right ones.....

However, I'd still give Jason at Paragon Products a call... I've found that Jason is the one to ask about Konis for our old cars...

    Hope this helps...

Jason was very helpful with my Koni purchase. I would recommend him too.

Here's an article I wrote about shocks last year. It may be a little more than what you're asking for but it is about shocks. btw - you might consider having your current shocks rebuilt. Especially if you've changed anything from stock. If you change the torsion bars or sway bars you might need a custom rebuild.

Also, remember that shocks are the final step in your handling package. You only do shocks when you have the springs and sway bars correct.

Thanks for all the comments and thanks Richard for the link to your article. Another forum member sent me a PM also suggesting the rebuild route and mentioned Koni offers a rebuild service This is an option that I was not aware of and so did some more searching on the web. Koni USA's rebuild service that can be accessed here:

Brent, the KONI 86-1638 insert would be correct for your original Koni strut. I think if you look around a bit you can probably save a bit of money ;-).
