just sharing : restoring my toolbag.

I received the toolbag from a fellow member. I decided to make it better (dust, dirt, rust). I like very much doing this. Just sharing for fun.
part 1 : I finished to separate the various parts, and have cleaned them sith glycerin soap. Bought the various new parts (clips) and new items for sewing.
I choose to keep the original material.

Interesting. Haven't seen a thread on this. Curious to see what you do with the clasps.

Well, have done most of it, I broke one of the 2 clasps, so I need to order a new one.
IT was not so easy to sew the old vinyl, as it was very dry, hard and not aligned cause by the usage.
I took the opportunity to make a complete template of it.
I beleive it would have been easier to make one from new materials

BTW, I am now able to make repro of original ones, or bespoke (color of the car, sewing in different color, leather..) - price on asking.

MP if interested. I will make a donation of 10% of each sold toolbag to the regsitry to sustain it.

Sure. It is not very expensive, about 5 euros each in here, as I bought it from a small shop. I beleive it can be easily find on the net.

Can you post the pictures of the new clasps when they come in? I've been trying to locate a source for the same spring claps as Porsche's but I failed. None of the ones I see on the web looks like the ones used by Porsche on its toolkit. Thanks in advance.
