Free-parking --- NOT . . .
Free-parking --- NOT . . .
The "Gray Fox" is amazing and yes amazing story but to see that motor too..... in the shape it is in....WOW...Talk about pride in ownership!!!!!!!!!!
Intermission
Saw/met this Guy who could've won a Gary Emory look-a-like contest. Anyway, we got to talking about cars --- really? . . . and it turns out John (?) 's had a 911 for 20-some-years --- an 'S' . . . bought from his brother . . . + yes --- he drives it . . . + yes --- he drove it here/today/right-d@mn-now
So --- we head out to the parking lot to check it out. Car was just jammed-in, too --- = lousy pics. Really cool Ride, too. '72 sunroof + AC . . . w/ all its original stuff --- + even/still running its MFI. Been re-painted + re-built + hot-rodded + just used for fun/forever --- right down to the 'zinks' in the rear quarters where his over-sized tires had been a-rubbin'
Wish it was out on the grass for more people to see. Love that air-freshener thingy. And no --- I missed getting the VIN . . .
. . . got distracted
And another reason why I go to Car Shows
Your talking about John Walters car. Was his dad's car, then his older brother's and then his for the past 20+ years. Great car and a great guy and I agree, it should be on the lawn next year! Here is a better pic of the whole car.
P.S. Coors Banquet beer, a crowd favorite!
1969 Hot Rod, Jagermeister Orange,
3.2, brakes, suspension etc. etc.
Driven to the track, tracked and driven back!
Likely that many of you were not "drinkin the koolaid" Banquet beer over that weekend but it flowed nicely for a few of us!
Last pic is me in 1980 on my way to pick up my Jr. prom date. No i did not own the car back then. It belonged to my dad (mine is the rowdy Audi in background) and he allowed me to use it as my girlfriend was a good lookin tall blonde and she looked even better in that car! Lot's of great memories in this ride.
Cheers,
Hold superschnell- where's the picture of the blonde? (Great story and car)

1964 911 . . .
No idea what I'm looking at, here, so . . . .
Placard needs some serious editing, too
Anyway, as I recall, The Story was that Mr Martin purchased the car from the 2nd owner who'd had the car since he was 19
