The details; Questions about rear bumper end cap on a 73

I'm starting to assemble the bumpers with new trim parts - unfortunately without originals to look at. I got a black rubber moulding with the end cap but I don't know where it starts and stops. Also, is it glued on? Last for now, does it attach with rivets or screws? Thanks

The black seal is supposed to stay in place when you rivet the cap on. The fitment of the new caps is not the best so the squish in between the cap and bumper may be too little. Carefully glue the seal onto the cap to hold it in place as an added measure. It stops around the end of the cap at the bottom, you need to transition it so it ends somewhere, it will not wrap around the bottom of the cap they way it does the top.

Thanks Mark - so are both attachment points riveted?
