    Seat rail screws

    Are the Allen head screws that hold the seat rails to the seat pan nickel or cad plated ? Ditto the lock washers (lock rings) ? I've seen both colours in online catalogs. Mine looked silverish, but you can't always tell with 40 years of junk on them.

    This for a '73.

    From what I can tell, you will want the gold screws, but then you need the correct head height and socket size... after that you'll need the right washers for the middle screws and then the connecting washers....

    Thanks. Not sure how I missed that ! Maybe I didn't and my mind is fading.

    I have a Caswell yellow zinc plating kit. I could just replace the originals ? Or is there an issue with the 10.9 grade bolts degrading ?
