satin black paint for engine bay

I am restoring a 1970 E Targa and have read in this forum that the correct color for the engine bay and wheel wells is satin black and not the body color. Specifically what satin black paint should be used. Thanks.

There will be as many different answers as there are replies,,,,,but my answer is cheap and simple,,,,,rust-oleum satin black brushed on, as was the original method.

Wurth Satin Trim Black works great! More expensive but a can goes a long way. And what Ed said.

+1 on Rustoleum Satin Black. Apply it with a disposable foam brush or small roller. Doesn't leave brush marks or brush hairs in the paint. Looks great, fairly original and is easy to keep clean.

has anyone had issues with the rustoleum not being able to deal with chemicals such as brake cleaner, or whatever?

Actually, a few brush marks would be closer to original appearance.

Are these two products also correct for the undercarrage (belly pan)

Certainly are, and I'm sure all done at the same time, only way to do stuff on a production line, and brushed on so no need to mask.
