Statute of limitations or how long do i have to determine fraud?

I purchased an item that is not to be used imediately and places the Orange bar hood badge in a desk drawer preparing for full metal paint job. A month later get a strange email asking if had a problem with the purchase and a link exposing seller trying to sell a red bar badge that had been reglassed and bars are altered. Mine is also one that had been altered after I knew what to look for.

This is a warning to all that if u purchased a badge OR BETTER YET were going to purchase a hood badge ask this question. Is this badge 100% original? If the seller stumbles or balks pass immediately.

The badge was 375. just FYI. There is a member here who will be selling badges that are not original and reglassed or painted. If u bought one in last 6 months give a look and see if the bars are a lil too shiney or patina is store bought. If u bought one, let's out the seller for what he is so no other trusting members get taken.
Pls take pics of any badges purchased lately if ur now skeptical and email them to me. Take different angles so glassy bars show up. I don't expect the seller to refund after a month so my goal is to educate AND WARN OTHERS ONLY. damn shame we have to scrutinize something we buy from men who act as though they are brothers amongst us.

There should be no statute of limitations for fraud like this.
And I think you should identify the seller if indeed it was fraudulently sold to protect others.

Why is this posted in "General Info"?

And while we're at it, why not keep the dirty laundry over at the Bird. No need for it here. You clearly have an ax to grind...

Yeah...with Bill on this one. I glanced at the thread on the bird and the seller did offer you your money back and he did seem to make clear that he wasn't a badge expert. Get your money back and move on. Life is too short.
