    Too Noisy !!!!

I have a 66 coupe and have installed new door rubber that I purchased from Stoddard. It is a solid molding and looks like the rubber that I took out. It has been installed for about 6 months and no matter what I do I can't seem to stop the wind noise in about a 12 inch area right between the vent window and the door frame. I have adjusted the door frames many times. I have added strips of flat rubber behind the molding, I have even tried a cord on the inside between the inside lip and the frame, so far not much better. I have used a strip of teflon to slide between the door frame and body and found the area where it slides the easiest and have been able to tighten it up but still can hear the wind. I have done many 356's and always been able to solve the noise. The last try (adding more rubber behind the molding) made it a little better but still not great, the problem with adding rubber strips is that it pushes the inside trim further away from
the headliner and does not look good.
    Any suggestions????

I tried those on a project and had to shim behind the seal so it would touch the window frame, to the point where the seal wasn't in the the seal channel in some areas. I finally gave up and put in the tube seal.

They are the normal stock, superseeded door seal. (late door seal, say 78 to 88)

Went through this. You need to get the hollow seals (modern ones). They are simply twice the size of the solid one and work MUCH better. I have a set of the solid ones I bought from Stoddard and had them on the car for less than a week. Simply too thin in exactly the area you specified.
